Magnetic gates are usually located at the main entrance / exit of the library. Has the effect of detecting and generating an alarm signal when a document with magnetic wire attached to the wrong procedure is carried through the gate. EM-security activating and deactivating device

P.V. Supa offers various solutions for activating and deactivating electromagnetic security strips. LibAct is the most versatile electronic activating and deactivating device available. It allows activating and deactivating colinear and 3M strips and also handles CD/DVDs that have slug-strips. Because of the electronic functionality, it is 100 % sure. It guarantees that the strips work optimally with the security gates. There are two different types of LibAct that can be integrated to a table or kept as separate unit on top of a table. LibAct Desktop is a model that is meant to be used as a separate unit on top of a table and it can be easily moved to a different place. LibAct Ergo has two different models, one for table-top use and one that can be integrated in to a table. Both devices have a separate control unit.

All the LibAct models have been designed with different types of library material in mind, paying close attention to ease of use. LibAct can also deactivate colinear strips that have been attached to magnetic material, such as VHS-tapes, without damaging the data in the magnetic material. In addition to the electronic LibAct devices P.V. Supa offers also other solutions for activating and deactivating colinear strips. DA plates are embedded in the staff desk. They contain integrated magnets that activate or deactivate the security from the items that are moved on top of the plates. The DA peak works in a similar way and is usually attached to a handheld barcode scanner.

Alarm monitoring

When someone walks through the security antennas with a library item that is not checked out properly an alarm will sound. Through the Librix software module for alarm monitoring you will be able to see in the database which library item has caused this alarm. So you will always know what the status of your library items is.

Exclude incoming alarms

An alarm will sound every time someone walks through the security gates with a library item that has not been checked out properly. This happens when someone leaves or enters the library with such an item. With the Nedap Detection Antennae it is possible to exclude incoming alarms. This way there is only an alarm when someone walks out of the library and not when he walks in.

Enable wheelchair access

With the PG50 antenna the entrance can be as wide as 1.35m. This easily enables access to disabled people and will help you to be flexible in terms of accommodating goods in and out through your entrances. Additionally, with the modular base solution for quick assembly/disassembly you can easily dismantle one of the antennas in case of a panic event. Another benefit of this solution is the fact that you can allow large objects, e.g. furniture, to be delivered through the standard entrances.

The certus Hybrid System integrates the proofed EM technology with the popular 13,56MHz RFID Technology into a single EAS System. Both technologies components are own developments from certus and allow simultaneous detection of security elements from both technologies. The EM part detects standard certus EM labels as well as EM labels from other suppliers, like e.g. 3M Tattle Tapes. The RFID part detects or reads all 13.56 Mhz based RFID labels, following ISO 15693.
