The new Omniscan OS 12 scanning software meets all these requirements. This software for the first time uses all the advantages of the 64-bit architecture and runs on the XP64 and Vista64 operating systems. Fast and reliable handling of large amounts of data, as it is
required for high resolution scanning of color documents, is standard procedure for OS 12.
A new and unique facility with OS 12 is simultaneous image editing during the scanningprocess. Scanning, editing and file-saving run inparallel threads. The parameters set for image processing (e.g. for 3D book-fold distortion correction) are transferred one-toone to the second image. And this is achieved without any loss of speed when continuing with work on the screen. Unproductive waiting times
